FAQ

Frequently asked questions

MyIGDI is the institute's online platform for registered companies. It lets you submit licence applications, upload compliance documents, request certificates, book appointments and track the status of every request. One account per company, with individual logins for each member of staff.
Submit a question through this helpdesk selecting "MyIGDI platform" as the desk. The team verifies your company registration, then sends an activation link to the address on file. Activation normally happens within one working day.
A Kimberley Process certificate covering the consignment, your company registration number, a customs registration (EORI), an invoice and a statement of origin. Complete files are usually licensed the same day; incomplete ones wait for the missing document.

Start with the consolidated G7 and EU lists published by the institute, then screen the counterparty, its beneficial owners and the banks involved. If nothing matches but you are unsure about an indirect link, submit the details to the sanctions desk — target turnaround is 48 hours.

The full calendar is on Events & Tenders. Register online; places are confirmed by email. Training sessions are limited in size, so early registration is advisable.
Only where the law requires it, or where you have asked us to act on your behalf. Compliance questions are treated confidentially by default, and personal data is handled under the institute's privacy statement.
Report a concern

If something does not look right, tell us

The institute's reputation depends on companies acting properly, and on problems being raised early. Concerns about compliance, sanctions exposure or the conduct of a registered company can be raised through a dedicated confidential channel.

  • Confidential by default. Your identity is not shared outside the compliance team.
  • Anonymous option. You can submit without providing any identifying details.
  • Documented process. Every report receives a reference and a decision on next steps.
  • No retaliation. Raising a concern in good faith will not affect your company's standing.
